PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke exhaust system capable of suppressing lowering of smoke in the vicinity of a wall and improving evacuation safety of persons in a building in case of a fire. SOLUTION: The smoke exhaust system for discharging smoke S generated on an indoor side in case of a fire to an outdoor side is provided with an annular smoke vent 1 arranged along an outer edge of a ceiling C of a room, smoke exhaust flow passages 3, 4 communicated with the smoke vent 1, and a smoke exhaust fan 5 forcibly discharging the smoke S flowing into the smoke exhaust flow passages 3, 4 to the outdoor side.
