<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a precise cause of abnormality of a vehicle and to precisely grasp a cause of an accident when the accident occurs by communicating data between each of electronic controllers different in communicating methods and recording travelling state information of the vehicle received through communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This gateway electronic controller for the vehicle includes a receiver part to receive the travelling state information from each of sensors and each of the electronic controllers set in the vehicle, a first memory to store the received travelling state information, a determination part to determine occurrence of an accident or occurrence of abnormality of the electronic controller in accordance with the stored travelling state information, a second memory and a control part to store abnormality information of the relative electronic controller out of the travelling state information stored in the first memory in the second memory when it is determined that abnormality occurs in the electronic controller and to store the travelling state information before occurrence of the accident prescribed with a point of time of the occurrence of the accident and the vehicle state information after the occurrence of the accident in the first memory when it is determined that the accident occurs.
