<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a light-emitting diode easily carrying a fluorescent material to a nonwoven cloth in the light-emitting diode having an LED chip and the nonwoven cloth carrying the fluorescent material for wavelength conversion for converting light emitted from the LED chip to light having a prescribed wavelength. <P>SOLUTION: In the light-emitting diode having the LED chip 20 and the nonwoven cloth 30 carrying a phosphor 28, a number of gaps 34 for retaining the phosphor 28 are formed between fibers 32 for composing the nonwoven cloth 30, thus retaining the phosphor 28 by the gaps 34 between the fibers 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
