<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a dendritic polymer of which the structure and molecular weight are controlled. <P>SOLUTION: The dendritic polymer has a segment represented by formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are moieties; m, n and p are numbers of object moieties to which those are appended and which bond to R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>1</SP>, respectively; x is a repeating number; x, m, n and p are each an integer of ≥1, but m and n are not simultaneously 1; E'-C' is a bond formed by a reaction of a functional group E with a functional group C; D'-A' is a bond formed by a reaction of a functional group D with a functional group A; B'-C' is a bond formed by a reaction of a functional group B with the functional group C; the functional groups A, B, C, D and E satisfy the following conditions: C reacts with E; D reacts neither with E nor with C; A reacts with D; and B reacts neither with D nor with A but reacts with C, provided that A and B may have an atom in common with R<SP>2</SP>, C and D may have an atom in common with R<SP>3</SP>, E may have an atom in common with R<SP>1</SP>, and R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>, A, B, C, D, m and n may be different in kind and value each repetition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
