<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a life reduction of an organic EL element while taking measures for luminance defects due to mixing of foreign matters. <P>SOLUTION: Taking note of a blue (B) organic EL element 21B having a shorter life than organic EL elements 21R and 21G of other colors, for example, red (R) and green (G), only one organic EL element is used for a B sub pixel 20B while multiple organic EL elements are used for R and G sub pixels 20R and 20G, while a light emission area of the B sub pixel 20B is set larger than those of the R and G sub pixels 20R and 20G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
