<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine equipped with a turbocharger, whose output performance is appropriately improved. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 equipped with the turbocharger 58 is furnished with a valve controlling means to control a valve 78 installed in a passage 76 connecting inside a pressure accumulating vessel 70 able to store a gas containing oxygen with the suction line downstream of a compressor 56, a requisite load increase determining means to determine whether the requisite load has increased, and a compressor condition determining means to determine whether the operating condition of the compressor 56 lies within the surge avoiding region, wherein the valve controlling means controls the opening operation of the valve 78 when the requisite load increase determining means passes an affirmative determination and also the compressor condition determining means passes affirmative determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
