<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and precisely estimating a change with a lapse of time of an oil concentration of soil or ground water. <P>SOLUTION: The change with a lapse of time of the concentration of oil of soil or ground water in a target region is estimated when air is fed into the underground in the target region to be estimated. A sample of soil or ground water is picked from the target region to be estimated and is housed in a container, air is circulated and flowed in the container for a predetermined time and oxygen is replenished to the circulating air from a replenishing means so that the oxygen content of the circulating air may be constant and the oxygen consumption rate of the sample is calculated from the amount of oxygen replenishment. The parameter value of an estimating equation of the change with a lapse of time of the concentration of the oil is decided from the oxygen consumption rate of the sample and the change with a lapse of time of the concentration of the oil is estimated based on the estimating equation of the change with a lapse of time having the parameter value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
