<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermostat device having a sensitivity to coolant temperature enhanced by a temperature-sensing movable portion in a valve housing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this thermostat device 1, a valve element 13 is opened and closed by a temperature-sensing movable portion 12 that moves according to a change in the temperature of a coolant within a mixing chamber 20 of the valve housing 2. A high-temperature coolant inlet 22a for introducing a high-temperature coolant B heated by an engine and flowing from a bypass channel 22 that bypasses a radiator is formed in the valve housing in at the side essentially orthogonal to the direction of movement of the temperature-sensing movable portion. A heater channel inlet 29a for introducing coolant D supplied from a heater channel 29 to a heater core is formed in the valve housing at the lower-end portion. A plurality of guide portions 27, 27 projecting from the right and left sides thereof along the lower surface of a closed portion 2a1 toward the temperature-sensing movable portion are provided in the high-temperature coolant inlet.
