<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problematic point of the occurrence of the breakage of a board as the worst case when the side part of a recording element board having ink supplying ports is sealed with sealing agent under the condition that drying environments develop owing to the shrinkage of the sealing agent through the evaporation of moisture, especially also owing to the follow up deformation of the low rigid board side parts of the ink supplying ports. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The tensile force applied to the recording element boar by accompanying the shrinkage of the sealant is relieved by providing grooves D1 running parallel to the board side parts in the supporting member 1 of the recording element board 2 and making the portions lying between the board side part and the groove thinner.
