PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die from which a glass molding can easily be taken out when a molten glass drop is vertically pressed to produce the glass molding having an upper molded face, a lower molded face and an outside diameter regulation face. SOLUTION: The molding die has an upper die face forming an upper molded face, a lower die face forming a lower molded face and a regulation mold face forming an outside diameter regulation face, wherein the regulation mold face has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 16-100 nm.
