<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform photography with more proper lightness over a whole picture during luminance reduced photography. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device (8) including a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements disposed in a two-dimensional shape: an area dividing circuit (19) for dividing the imaging device into a plurality of divided areas on the basis of luminance information of image data obtained by imaging using the imaging device before and after pre-emission of a flash (23); an arithmetic unit (21) for the flash for arithmetically operating the emission time of the flash on the basis of the luminance information; an exposure time arithmetic unit (20) for arithmetically operating an exposure time for each of the plurality of divided areas on the basis of the luminance information before and after the pre-emission of the flash and the emission time arithmetically operated by the flash arithmetic unit; exposure time control means (2, 14) for making exposure start timing different for each of the plurality of divided areas so that the ending time of the exposure time becomes equal in the plurality of divided areas; and an emission control circuit (22) for controlling emission of the flash on the basis of the arithmetically operated emission time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
