<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle attaining securing a degree of freedom in a setting position of an aromatic unit and an aromatic action accompanying blow-out of conditioned air to a cabin. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, the aromatic unit 7 is disposed in air conditioning route from an air intake port to a blowout port to the cabin. In the aromatic unit 7, solid solvent 76 volatilizing aromatic components is covered with double cylinders 72 and 73 by slidably fitted outside cylinder 72 and inside cylinder 73, and a cylinder end face is made as a dynamic pressure receiving surface of conditioned air by directing a cylinder shaft CL of the double cylinders 72 and 73 to an upstream side of the conditioned air. The outside cylinder 72 and the inside cylinder 73 are provided with a passage opening and closing structure 75 to open an aromatic passage F for returning conditioned air introduced into the inside from the outside of the double cylinders 72 and 73 to the outside of the double cylinders 72 and 73 again by dynamic pressure of conditioned air received by the dynamic pressure receiving surface when the dynamic pressure by the conditioned air is generated, and to close the aromatic passage F when there is no conditioned air.
