<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output control method for a torque sensor which can enhance detection accuracy of a magnetic sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The output control method for the torque sensor 50 applies predefined offset voltage to output voltage of magnetic detection element. The method comprises the step of torsionally-deforming a torsion bar 51 in one direction and then torsionally-deforming it in the reverse direction for detecting the output voltage of a magnetic detection element detected at the first neutral point where no torsion arises on the torsion bar 51 in the above outward route with the torsion bar 51 torsionally-deformed in one direction as an outward route neutral point sample value B, the step of detecting the output voltage of a magnetic detection element detected at the second neutral point where no torsion arises on the torsion bar 51 in the above homeward route with the torsion bar 51 torsionally-deformed in the reverse direction as a homeward route neutral point sample value D, and the step of computing the offset voltage as the average value (B+D)/2 of these outward route neutral point sample value B and homeward route neutral point sample value D.
