<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attachment and removal of a fan guard for a fan mounted between an engine and a radiator inside an engine compartment of a construction machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fan guard (20) comprises a pair of arc-shaped guards 22, 24 formed bilaterally symmetrically to a vertical line (Z) and mounted to a radiator (16) and thus covering the circumferential portion of the fan (14a). Each arc of the arc-shaped guards (22, 24), having a length shorter than a half of the entire circumference, is formed as a minor arc.
