To increase throughput while reducing unnecessary use of resources upon packet retransmission. In order to achieve this object, a new-portion acquiring unit (104) acquires a part of a block generated by a block generating unit (101) as a new portion to be included in a packet. A retransmission-portion acquiring unit (105) acquires, as a retransmission portion to be included in the packet, a part of a block corresponding to a NAK among blocks held by a retransmission buffer unit (102). An encoding unit (106) groups the new portion acquired by the new-portion acquiring unit (104) and the retransmission portion acquired by the retransmission-portion acquiring unit (105) and encodes the group to generate a packet. A modulating unit (107) modulates the packet output from the encoding unit (106). A radio processing unit (108) performs predetermined radio transmission processing on the modulated packet and transmits the resultant packet through an antenna. |
