<p>1309129 Feeding and delivering sheets XEROX CORP 8 May 1970 [14 May 1969] 22292/70 Heading B8R [Also in Divisions G2-G3] An electrophotographic copier (see Division G2) comprises three vertically spaced trays each supporting a stack of copy sheets and each having guides 416-418 adjustable for different sheet sizes, drag rollers 441 and feed rollers (451, Fig. 21, not shown). A handle (488, Fig. 27, not shown) simultaneously raises the feed rollers (451) of all the trays for loading. Automatic feed may be suspended for manual feed. The sheets are fed through the copier by grippers 503 comprising rotatable grooved rods 520. A guide mechanism (616, 618, 620, Figs. 33-36, not shown) lifts and pushes the sheet against the copying drum for image transfer. After transfer a release mechanism (Figs. 37-40, not shown) rotates the rods to release the sheets which are carried upwards by an endless belt system (Fig. 41, not shown) to a tray (20).</p> |
