<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of securing enough power outputted from a fuel cell necessary for driving and realizing excellent driveability if a purge valve and a drain valve break down. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a drain valve 8 for draining moisture stored in a gas-liquid separation unit 7 for separating moisture from anode offgas exhausted from a fuel cell 5 and storing it, a control part 3 for controlling an opening time of the drain valve 8, a purge valve 9 for exhausting the anode offgas after moisture separation, a failure determining part 4 for determining if the purge valve 9 is in failure or not, and a power generation status measuring unit 5a for measuring a power generation status of the fuel cell 5. The control part 3, when the failure determining part 4 determines that the purge valve 9 is in failure, controls the opening time of the drain valve 9 to be longer than before the determination, whether or not the generation status reaches a status threshold is determined, and if the generation status does not reach the status threshold, a supply amount of cathode gas to be supplied to the fuel cell 5 is controlled to be increased more than before the determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
