摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which can compress image data, and make the size small without deteriorating the image quality of the image data by selecting an appropriate quantization factor according to the resolution of the image data. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing device compressing the image data by performing predetermined frequency conversion for every pixels composing the image data, converting the pixel value to a frequency factor, carrying out quantization of the converted frequency factor based on the quantization factor, and encoding the quantization data obtained by quantization, the image data resolution is acquired. A quantization table corresponding to the resolution is memorized, so that the quantization table can be extracted based on the acquired resolution.
