摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-well apparatus in a receiver plate, capable of reducing or eliminating a capillary action and a secondary contamination. <P>SOLUTION: A gap between the outer wall of each well of a filter plate and the inner wall of each well of the receiver plate not only reduces or eliminates the capillary action and the secondary contamination between each well or in each well, but is expanded to decrease a risk of expelling a liquid from the well. A diameter of each well 21 of the receiver plate receiving each well 20 of the filter plate is expanded, the gap 122 between the inner wall of each well 21 and the outer wall of the corresponding well 20 thereof is expanded thereby, thus preventing the capillary action in this gap to reduce or eliminate capillary suction of a fluid. This part of each well of the receiver plate is desired to practically have a quadrangular cross-section as shown in Fig.5, but may be shaped otherwise, including a teardrop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
