<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner and an image forming device for controlling scanning speeds in respective main scanning lines of a photoreceptor at a constant speed, to form a uniform electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power source voltage control part 24 increases an electric power source voltage Vcc1 supplied to a driving circuit 22, when scanning the main scanning line 4G in a forward direction subsequent to the main scanning line 4E in the forward direction where a forward scanning time K is measured, when the forward scanning time K is later than a reference time X. In contrary, the electric power source voltage control part 24 decreases an electric power source voltage Vcc2 supplied to the driving circuit 22, when scanning the main scanning line 4F of a backward direction subsequent to the main scanning line 4D of the backward direction where a backward scanning time I is measured, when the backward scanning time I is earlier than the reference time X. The scanning speed when scanning the main scanning line 4F in the backward direction, and the scanning speed when scanning the main scanning line 4G in the forward direction become normal as a result thereof. The scanning speed is kept constant in scanning each line of a photoreceptor drum 4.
