PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straddle type vehicle provided with a secondary air supply device inhibiting increase in the number of par items, not giving influence on other parts, and having an arrangement location suitable for an air cleaner taken into account. SOLUTION: In a straddle type vehicle provided with the secondary air supply device comprising a secondary air control valve opened and closed by using intake air negative pressure of an engine and an air cleaner for secondary air supply 111 disposed at an upstream of the secondary air control valve separately from an air cleaner purifying air supplied to the engine, and introducing external air to a middle of an exhaust gas channel of the engine to burn unburned components in exhaust gas, the air cleaner for secondary air supply 111 is integrally provided at a battery case 121 retaining a battery 131.
