<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of pins (the number of terminals) of an IC mounted with a nonvolatile memory (e.g. an MTP memory), and to reduce a burden on a user when programming data to the nonvolatile memory (e.g. the MTP memory), for example. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This memory control circuit has: a control register 35 including a data register 36 and a command register 37; an oscillator circuit 40; and a writing circuit 39. When a program start command is set in the command register 37, an operation clock output from the oscillator circuit 40 is supplied to the nonvolatile memory 40 and the writing circuit 39, address information and writing data are output to the nonvolatile memory from the writing circuit 39 in synchronization with the operation clock OPCK, and the writing data are written in a memory area inside the nonvolatile memory 50.
