PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus to measure the function of a salivary gland by biooptical measurement. SOLUTION: The biooptical measuring instrument includes light measuring means to irradiate the vicinity of the salivary gland of a subject with light and receive reflected or transmitted light, signal processing means to draw a change in the salivary gland's function as a signal waveform of a blood substance concentration change when the light stimulates the subject on the basis of a measurement signal received by the light measuring means, and display means to display the result of processing of the signal processing means.
