<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control technique with a remote controller which is convenient when an apparatus outputs sound to a plurality of devices. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A remote control method in a remote device which is hands-free connected to an external portable telephone is provided. When the portable telephone has an incoming call, streaming from an external source apparatus is shut down and the remote device is shifted to the hands-free communication. When the communication completes, the purport of the completion is notified to the external source apparatus. After the notification, commands from the external source apparatus relating to the streaming are made to work effectively. During the hands-free communication of the remote device which is hands-free connected to the external portable telephone, the source apparatus which supplies the streaming to a plurality of external remote devices works so that the commands from the remote device relating to the streaming must not affect the streaming to other remote devices.
