<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive vehicular supercharging apparatus capable of driving a compressor by an engine, even if an inverter causes failure, by restraining large capacity of an inverter and a battery, by driving the compressor by a power generating electric motor in a low speed area, and driving by the engine in a high speed area, by joining an electric motor-generator and the engine by a belt by using a one-way clutch pulley. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric motor-generator 10 and the engine 1 are linked by a first belt 4 that is looped around a crank pulley 3 that is mounted to a crankshaft 2 and the one-way clutch pulley 22 that is mounted to a rotting shaft 13. An electronic control unit 40 drives the electric motor-generator 10 as an electric motor and drives the compressor 7 by the electric motor-generator 10 if an engine speed is less than or equal to a predetermined value.
