<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine which is equipped with a rotor core which does not create a narrow section in a slot, even if the circumferential end of a segment core is displaced yo the outside diameter side at operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This rotating electrical machine has slots 16 in the vicinity of the circumferential direction of segment cores 9 (9A-9C) and 10 (10A-10C) formed larger than slots 11 and 11A at the intermediates in the circumferential direction of the segment cores. By constituting it this way, even if the circumferential end of the segment core is displaced to the outside diameter side at operation, the slots 16 made larger will not project into the slots 11 and 11A, made at the intermediates in the circumferential direction of axially adjoining segments; and accordingly, it will not have e narrow sections produced in the axially long slots.
