The present invention relates to an antibody specific for a particular epitope of the erythropoietin receptor, or fragment or variant thereof. The antibody is defined by sequence and epitope to which it binds. The antibody or fragment thereof is capable of attenuating invasion of cancer cells. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody, and methods and uses of the antibody, including methods of treating proliferative disorders and anaemia.
