The multi-layered reinforcing element (100) has an intermediate section (102) in a truncated pyramid shape configuration. The intermediate section has three layers (102a,102b, 102c). The truncated pyramid shape configuration has four diagonal side areas, particularly eight diagonal side areas (120a to 120h). A thickness (D102a) of the former layer and the thickness (D102c) of the third layer are equal or smaller than the thickness (D102b) of latter layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a bicycle rim with a rim body; (2) a method for attaching multi-layered reinforcing element for a section of an internal circular side of a bicycle rim; and (3) a method for manufacturing the bicycle rim.
