<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging and illuminating device for a vehicle for imaging the forward condition of the vehicle and performing analysis of the image, the device being capable of allowing more accurate image analysis. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging and illuminating device for the vehicle includes a first illuminating means for illuminating light to an area forward of the vehicle, which is apart from the vehicle by a first predetermined distance or more, an imaging means for imaging an obliquely downward direction forward of the vehicle, an image analyzing means for recognizing a road partitioning line by analyzing the image captured by the imaging means, and a second illuminating means for illuminating light to an area forward of the vehicle including the imaging area of the imaging means, which is apart from the vehicle by a second predetermined distance or less which is shorter than the first predetermined distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
