<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional on-vehicle moving image compression device, it is impossible to obtain a high quality moving image data by imaging the surroundings of a vehicle before and after the occurrence of an accident. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle moving image data recording device includes: a camera section 101 for capturing surrounding images of the vehicle; a normal quality image encoding section 102 for compressing an image captured by the camera section 101 at a normal image quality; a normal quality image data memory section 103 for recording moving image data output from a normal quality image encoding section 102; a trigger detection section 104 for detecting a certain trigger such as an abnormal condition generated during the traveling of the vehicle; a high quality image encoding section 105 for compressing the image captured by the camera section 101 at a high image quality; and a high quality image data memory section 106 for recording the moving image data output by the high quality image encoding section 105 captured at a fixed period before the trigger detection timing by the trigger detection section 104. The memory can be effectively utilized by using the normal quality image recording at the normal traveling of the vehicle, and the high quality moving image data can be obtained right before and after the occurrence of an accident. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
