PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further shorten a warm-up period of a fixing device using an endless belt. SOLUTION: During the warm-up period before starting a fixing process in a fixing nip section after the start of the rotation of the endless film, a quantity of heat generated by a heater is set so that the quantity is the largest in a position downstream of the middle of the fixing nip in the rotating direction of the endless film.
