PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sock the heel part of which is formed so as be fitted to the heel shape of a wearer to effectively prevent generation of slip movement at the heel part when worn. SOLUTION: The sock 10 is structured as follows: the inside of the heel part 16 of the sock is formed into a toe side 16a and an ankle side 16b at a gored line 18 as a boundary on the inside corresponding to the first toe side of the heel part 16 of the sock; a plurality of parts (A) where reduced stitches (a) and increased stitches b are interknitted are formed in a direction of the length of the gored line 18 in the part where the toe side 16a and the ankle side 16b are interknitted on the inside of the heel part 16; and the total knitted loop number in the part where the toe side 16a and the ankle side 16b are interknitted over the entire length of the gored line 18, is made to be more than the knitted loop number of the ankle side 16b.
