PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a cooling circuit in an indexing apparatus for a machine tool, which contains two or more heating elements requiring to be cooled. SOLUTION: The indexing apparatus for the machine tool contains two or more heating elements requiring to be cooled within a housing and the cooling circuit having a cooling flow passage provided around each heating element to cool the heating element. The cooling circuit includes: a fluid supply passage serving to supply a cooling fluid to the cooling flow passage for the highest ranked heating element among the individual ranked heating elements and having a supply port formed in the housing; an intermediate flow passage connecting the discharge side of the cooling flow passage for the highest ranked heating element to the supply side of the cooling flow passage for the next lower ranked heating element; and a fluid discharge passage serving to discharge the cooling fluid from the cooling flow passage for the lowest ranked heating element and having a discharge port formed in the housing.
