CAMERA MODULE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module advantageous in size reduction, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The external faces of the portions of the rear and front lens barrels 24 and 22 sandwiching the lengthwise end of a rear spring 34 have recesses 82 receding from the external faces 25 in the peripheral parts of the sandwiching portions. The lengthwise end of the rear spring 34 is located in a part displaced inside from the imaginary extension planes of the external faces 25 in the peripheral parts. The rear lens barrel 24 has a rear end face 2402 located opposite the front lens barrel 22. The recesses 82 are formed in the rear end face 2402 so as to be open. The bottom 8202 of the recess 82 formed in the rear lens barrel 24 is formed from an inclining face that gradually increases the depth of the recess 82 toward the rear end face 2402.
