PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a vehicle, capable of instantaneously anticipating the generation of inertial force at a movable operation section due to variation in vehicle body kinematics, and smoothly reducing its influence. SOLUTION: The travel control state of a vehicle is monitored through a throttle opening sensor 71, brake pressure sensor (P), a rudder angle sensor 41 and a vehicle speed sensor 11. From the travel control state, a vehicle body kinematics behavior in the coming future, that is, acceleration in the traveling direction or lateral acceleration is anticipated in advance, and an inertial force brought to the movable operation section is estimated from the anticipated vehicle body kinematics behavior. Then a compensation driving force intended for offsetting the estimated inertial force is added in a feedforward way to the movable operation section. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
