PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproduction device, in which missing of voice information is hardly caused when performing an asking-back operation in a television receiver, a cellular phone capable of transmitting and receiving digital broadcasting, a digital audio device, a voice recorder or the like. SOLUTION: The device includes: a reproduction speed change part 105 capable of changing a reproduction speed of sound signal generated by a sound signal decoding part 104; and a control part 103 which calculates an appropriate reproduction speed ratio from the state of a user operation or the like and instructs the reproduction speed to the reproduction speed change part 105. The control part 103 instructs, when the asking-back operation is performed in an operation part 102 while the reproduction speed change part 105 reproduces content data at an appropriate speed, the reproduction speed change part 105 to reproduce the data from a returned point at a speed lower than the current reproduction speed and to perform the reproduction at the original speed after performing the reproduction to the time when the asking-back operation is performed.
