A voice conversation method and apparatus based on instant communication system are provided, wherein, said method includes the following steps: step a, establishing a voice changing conversation tunnel between the instant communication client A and the instant communication client B (S101); step b, performing voice changing process to the original voice information inputted, thus getting the changed voice (S102); transmitting said changed voice to the instant communication client B through said voice changing conversation tunnel (S103). The present invention performs the process of voice changing to the voice signal collected in the instant communication system at first, which realizes the voice changing conversation based on the instant communication system.
