Torsional vibration damper

The damper has a hub (3) that defines an axis of rotation, and a mass member (4) that is coupled to the hub via a spring element. The mass member rotationally and freely vibrates relative to the hub. The mass member has an annular shape and is arranged coaxially relative to the hub. The spring element is made of steel and is provided in the form of a wave-shaped bendable spring. The spring extends around the hub over 270 degrees in a circumferential direction. The spring has inner turning portions that are in contact with the hub.
