PURPOSE: A regulated hybrid permanent magnet generator is provided to maintain a desirable output voltage by arranging a control coil in a rotor of a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION: A regulated hybrid permanent magnet generator includes a stator and a permanent magnet rotor(20). The stator includes stator field coils, and supplies an output voltage to an output. The permanent magnet rotor is relatively rotated about the stator, and has a plurality of pole pieces(22,24). A permanent magnet(26) is inserted to a slot of the pole piece. A control coil(28) is wound in the pole piece, and supplies a current in order to change the output voltage.
