METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING CHARACTER AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A character recognition method and an apparatus thereof for increasing the convenience of a user by outputting the character without error are provided to efficiently remove wrongly recognized character in case the character is recognized within an inputted image. CONSTITUTION: An input image is converted to a binary image(S34). A first character area and a non character area are classified. It determines whether a first character area is existed among first character areas(S38). In case the first character area exists, the first character area is classified into the second character area(S40). A third character area is determined among first character areas. The character of third character areas is outputted(S42).
