<p>Decorative surfaced object obtained by applying copper foil ornaments to a resistant layer of plastics, which can be translucent and should be a different colour to the copper ornaments. The surface should be coated with acid-resistant lacquer or varnish and the unprotected areas of the copper overlay etched off, followed by an anti-oxidation paint. The acid-proof varnish is applied via a die to the copper ornament areas and the die is permeable over these areas to allow the varnish through.</p> |
