<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine cassetter which prevents an unprepared discharge of medicine not only when the cassetter is disengaged from a support base but also when the cassetter is attached to the support base by restricting rotation of a dispensing rotor credibly irrespective of the number of teeth of a gear. <P>SOLUTION: The medicine cassetter is attached detachably to the support base of a medicine dispensing apparatus and has a rotatable dispensing rotor for dispensing a predetermined number of stored medicine, such as tablets or the like. A main unit of the cassetter has a locking means which locks to the peripheral wall of the dispensing rotor when the main unit is disengaged from the support base and releases the dispensing rotor when the main unit is attached to the support base. A plurality of medicine aligning paths are formed on the peripheral wall of the dispensing rotor for aligning the medicine.
