TENSION CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL DEVICE USING POLE PLACEMENT TO REDUCE THE REGISTER ERROR

PURPOSE: A tension control method using a pole placement scheme is provided to reduce register error as a controller controls the setting time of a roll-to-roll print system within a time constant of the system. CONSTITUTION: The time constant of a roll-to-roll system is calculated. The intrinsic vibration number and the attenuation ratio of the roll to roll system are calculated. The settling time of the roll to roll system is determined lower than the time constant of the system. By the settling time of the roll to roll system, register errors are reduced. The register is expressed by the function of the tension defined between spans of two driven rolls(3,4).
