PURPOSE: A method for playing multimedia contents file and a recording medium is provided to play files having different formats as one file without disconnection. CONSTITUTION: A play of multimedia contents file is requested(200). A requested multimedia contents file is identified by connecting the content file and the required multi-media content(205,210). The confirmed multi-media content and the requested multi-media content are loaded(220). The loaded multimedia content files becomes to one file stream(225). A source filter for reading the created file stream is created(230). The file stream plays through the source filter(235).
