PURPOSE: A bottom structure of a tundish is provided to reduce the maintenance cost by improving the durability by reinforcing the part worn away by falling of the molten steel in the bottom of a tundish. CONSTITUTION: A bottom structure of a tundish is composed of a bottom wall(20) and a molten metal support wall(30). The bottom wall is constructed of refractory bricks in the bottom of the tundish to cover the bottom of the tundish. The molten metal support wall is constructed of refractory bricks to the upside of the bottom wall in the point in which the molten steel is dropped from the ladle. The molten metal support wall comprises a projected brick part(31) and a refractory cement coated unit. The brick part is constructed of refractory bricks in the point in which the molten steel is dropped from the ladle to be projected to the upside of the bottom wall. The refractory cement coated unit covers the projected brick part by spreading the cement. The projected brick part is built at plural layers which are composed of a lower layer constructed of refractory bricks of mullite material and an upper layer constructed of refractory bricks of alumina cement material.
