1289725 Motor vehicle suspensions V LANGEN [trading as LANGEN & CO] 31 Oct 1969 [12 Nov 1968] 53541/69 Heading B7D [Also in Division E2] In a joint in a motor vehicle suspension, rods 1, 2 have abutting convex bearing portions 3, 4 and convex part-spherical surfaces 5, 6 engaging corresponding concave surfaces 7, 8 of sockets 9, 10 in guide arm 12. Surfaces 5, 6, 7, 8 have a common centre coincident with the contact point M of the axially aligned rods. The joint may be pro-tightened by adjustment of nut 13. Sockets 9, 10 are of plastics material, e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene. |
