<p>The method involves determining whether a gateway (HGW1) e.g. home or residential gateway, connected to a terminal (T) and a connection point i.e. digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM) device, has required network resources e.g. transit time, for providing a service, from obtained information. The resources are reserved and reservation of the resources is informed to the gateway connected to the point for the provided service, if the gateway has the required network resources. An access to the service is rejected if the gateway does not have the required network resources. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method for processing a service accessing request (2) a gateway connected to a connection point, comprising an information obtaining unit.</p> |
