The adjusting device has a rotary and axially unlocatable spindle (2) supported in a housing (1) and a spindle nut (3) arranged on it, which is axially adjusted by rotating the spindle. The spindle is surrounded by a cladding tube (10) firmly supported on the housing. The tie rods are fitted to the housing or to a connecting part fastened on it, which are arranged parallel to the spindle. A cover part (11) is clamped with the cladding tube against the housing or the connecting part.
