PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to diffuse light from a light source, thereby supplying relatively uniform light. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(101) includes the first liquid crystal layer(102). A parallax barrier(104) is arranged between the liquid crystal panel and the light source. The first electrode(105) and the second electrode(106) are formed between the parallax barrier and the liquid crystal panel. The second liquid crystal layer(107) is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The second liquid crystal layer transmits or diffuses light according to whether an electric field formed by the first and second electrodes exists. |
