EMERGENCY RETURN CARS DEVICE FOR MEDIAN STRIP

PURPOSE: An emergency return device for a median strip is provided to quickly separate first guiderail units and second guiderail units from the insertion grooves of a highway and to hinge the first guardrail unit and the second guardrail unit using a minimum amount of space. CONSTITUTION: An emergency return device for a median strip comprises first guardrail units(10), second guardrail units(20), hinge units(30), a separator unit(40), supporting bosses(50), transfer units(60), and ascending and descending units(70). The second guardrail units are installed between the first guardrail units. The hinge units are installed on a corresponding surface of the first guardrail units and the second guardrail units and hinge the second guardrail units to the first guardrail units. The separator unit is installed on a corresponding surface of the second guardrail units and detaches and attaches the corresponding side parts of the second guardrail units. The supporting bosses support an elevation or movement of first posts(12) of the first guardrail units. The transfer units guide the movement of the first guardrail units and the hinging of the second guardrail units. The ascending and descending units attach and detach the first posts and second posts(22) to and from insertion grooves by lifting the first and the second guardrail units from top surface of a highway.
